Say you have some photos and you want to turn them from real-life paper to digital images. You could go the lengthy route and scan each individual photo. Or, if you get a bit of help from AutoSplitter, you could scan multiple photos at once, split them automatically, and then save them as individual image files.

The AutoSplitter installer is a little over 3MB. Downloading it will not take long, even if you’re on a slow internet connection. Installing the application won’t take long either. A very simple setup wizard will install AutoSplitter in no time at all.

By default, hints are shown on AutoSplitter’s interface. Now normally, I find hints or tips annoying. Not this time. I liked that there are only 7 hints to go through. And I liked that they provide useful information on how to use AutoSplitter. Thanks to these tips you can very quickly understand how AutoSplitter works.

Speaking about how AutoSplitter works, you will have to go through the following three steps to enjoy the functionality this application has to offer:
Step 1 – acquire an image. You can get an image from your scanner, you can open a previously scanned image, or you can load a sample scan.
Step 2 – the application will automatically detect images in the scan. You can manually adjust the detection.
Step 3 – save all split images to your hard drive.

So if you place 3 photos on your scanner, AutoSplitter will automatically detect those 3 images, split them, and save them as 3 individual files.

The trial version will save up to 15 photos without watermarks.

Save time by scanning multiple photos at once. AutoSplitter will detect images in the scan, split them, and save them locally.

Pros

Downloading and installing AutoSplitter will take little of your time. There are a handful of hints that provide useful information on how to use AutoSplitter. There are two samples that you can load. Using AutoSplitter is a very straightforward matter.

Cons

Nag screen; watermark on output (you get 15 images without a watermark).
